Want to go higher?? – How about trying Anniviers’ mountain shelters (cabanes)
Between the ‘Cabane de Tracuit’ (3’256m) and the ‘Gîte de St-Jean’ (1’400m) there are no less than 14 shelters. If the length of the walk doesn’t matter to you and your motto is: the higher – the better!!… then they’re looking forward to welcoming the hardy accomplished walkers among you.
The reward is even greater when you arrive at the summit of the ‘Illhorn’ or ‘Becs de Bosson’ whilst on a winter escapade.
